Description

Sunday Reflection upon Galatians 6:1-10

When someone is caught in a trespass, Paul steers us away from fueling fires that produce harshness and bitterness. Instead, he advocates for a humility and gentleness that arise from an awareness and recognition that we can all fail. These virtues are not just recommended, but essential in our journey of spiritual growth. Furthermore, the goal is restoration, not punishment for its own sake.

God's goal for humanity is restoration, not punishment for its own sake, but instead healing, restoration, and reconciliation. This emphasis on restoration should fill us with hope and optimism, knowing that we are not condemned but offered a path to healing and restoration. Yes, Paul does remind us that we reap what we sow. Like God in Christ, may we sow mercy and forgiveness and not become spiritually arrogant.
