"God, pick up the pieces. Put me back together again. You are my praise! Jeremiah 17:14 (The Message)

Pat has a kitchen canister set that she likes. When we were packing to move to Elizabethton I dropped the lid to one of them and it broke in several pieces. I tried to find another one, but it was not to be found. We had been told of a place that repaired broken dishes, but they didn’t. We saved the pieces, but I expected that they would eventually be thrown away. As a final attempt I glued it myself; and it worked. We still have the set of canisters, and you have to look for the broken lid.

Our lives, homes, and relationships can also be broken for many reasons. Perhaps we have tried to find help, and it was only in vain. Self-help may glue a canister lid back together, but it can’t always fix a life that is broken.

There is an answer to our dilemma; and His name is Jesus. Do you know that you cannot be so broken that you are beyond being made new? The church is made up of broken lives that have placed the pieces in the hands of the Christ who does all things well.

A beautiful Gospel song encourages us to, "Pick Up The Broken Pieces And Bring Them To The Lord. Pick Up The Broken Pieces Trust In His Holy Word. He Will Put You Back Together and Make Your Life Complete. Just Place The Broken Pieces At The Saviors Feet."

Grace and Peace, Rev Ray
